Electronic Lab Onboarding Guide

This guide will walk you through the onboarding and setup for electronic lab ordering and resulting.

Diagnostic Labs Dashboard Access

For all users that need access to the diagnostic ordering platform, reach out to your OCE representative or contact OpenCoreEMR Support and include the following information:

• Name of practice
• Name and email address of users. Users with the role of Physician or Administrator will automatically be invited the first time they access the portal.

The email address must match the email stored in the user's account profile (Admin > Users > (select user) > Email).

Interface Request: Quest and LabCorp

Please provide the following information if you plan on placing orders with Quest or Labcorp:

• Lab and account number (select all that apply):
  • Quest - account number
  • Labcorp - account number
• Bill types (select all that apply):
  • Patient bill
  • Insurance bill
  • Client bill
• Company name on Lab Account
• Point of contact:
  • Address, City, State, Zip
  • Email address
  • Lab account fax number
  • Lab account phone number
• Lab account phone number for critical results notification
• Ordering physician(s) name, NPI, and licensed state
• Will you be ordering lab supplies? Yes / No
• Collection modality (select all that apply):
  • On site
  • Walk in at PSC
• Current connected inteface (if any):
  • DrChrono
  • Change Healthcare
  • Health Gorilla
  • Elation
  • Other (please specify)

Send this information to your OCE representative or contact OpenCoreEMR Support.

Interface requests are done respective lab and may take between a few days to a few weeks to complete.

Once the user accounts and lab interface setup is complete, you're ready to order labs.

Interface Request: Labcorp Only

Labcorp interface request requires an additional step for you, the account holder, to send an email to initiate the interface request.

Here's a template email you can send:

Hello [Labcorp contact name],

We at [insert account name] are reaching out on behalf of our integration with Junction (Adept Labs). We would like to request an EDI interface for account number [insert account number] with connection to the Junction (Adept Labs) Interface account. Please reach out to the Adept Labs team at lab_interfaces@junction.com to coordinate the necessary integration actions.
